In the middle of town, with the Central Station and Nordstan on foot — and Västlänken's new station underneath.
Norra Centrum is Gothenburg's inner city north of the moat: Nordstan, the Central Station, Gustaf Adolfs Torg and the blocks around them. Everything is within walking distance, and staff arriving by train do not have to travel on at all.
Station Centralen — Västlänken's new underground station — opens during 2026, initially as a terminus. The full Västlänken line is expected in service around 2030, and until then finishing and station works continue in the blocks around Centralen.
Further south, Gothenburg Museum of Art is being rebuilt from May 2027, and work on the new interchange at Korsvägen is under way. The inner city is, in other words, a building site in phases throughout the period.
Staying here suits someone heading to an office, a meeting or a shorter assignment in town — not a crew with a van. Parking is expensive and difficult, and that is the price of being able to walk everywhere. If the crew is driving we would rather suggest Hisingen or Gamlestaden, and we say so plainly.
