The retail and logistics blocks around Backaplan, with tram and bus a stone's throw from the Hisingsbron bridge.
Backa runs from Brunnsbo in the south up towards Skogome, holding both older residential blocks and the large Backaplan retail and business area. It is also the site of one of the city's biggest redevelopments, which is one reason so many of our tenants in Backa work in construction.
Public transport is the best on northern Hisingen: from the stops around Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen, trams and buses cross the Hisingsbron bridge to the central station quickly. At the same time the E6 and Hisingsleden are around the corner for anyone driving.
Rent per bed is lower than on Norra Älvstranden, and there is parking — that combination is why larger crews often end up here.

Getting to work from here
The lines that run from here, and approximate driving time to the larger worksites — measured from the centre of the district, without traffic. Add a few minutes in the morning peak towards Torslanda and into town. Nobody can promise an exact journey time; these are here so you can compare districts against each other.
