Arendal is one of Gothenburg's most established industrial and logistics areas, connected directly to the port. Preemraff Gothenburg sits on Raffinaderivägen beside the Sörredsmotet junction, alongside Skandiahamnen and the container terminal and a dense weave of engineering, contracting and logistics firms. Volvo Cars' Torslanda plant is four kilometres away.
Almost nobody lives in Arendal — it is a workplace, not a residential district. So this page is about something different from most of ours: housing in Torslanda, Björlanda and Biskopsgården, a short drive from the gate with parking at the door.
It suits turnaround and maintenance work at the refinery, contractors in the port, and crews commuting to the workshops along Sörredsvägen. Many of our tenants here work shifts, so we choose properties where you can come and go around the clock without disturbing anyone.
If you are not driving there is unusually good bus service for an industrial estate: line 128 to Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen, 32 and 27 via Sörredsmotet and Eketrägatan, 184 towards Kungssten and Marklandsgatan, and 148 running Amhult–Arendal–Volvo–Angered. The frequency follows the shift changes.

Getting to work from here
The lines that run from here, and approximate driving time to the larger worksites — measured from the centre of the district, without traffic. Add a few minutes in the morning peak towards Torslanda and into town. Nobody can promise an exact journey time; these are here so you can compare districts against each other.

Do you have apartments inside Arendal?
No. Arendal is an industrial and port estate and there is essentially no housing there. We place you in Torslanda, Björlanda or Biskopsgården — the nearest residential areas — a few minutes' drive from the gate.
How close is the housing to the refinery?
Preemraff sits on Raffinaderivägen beside the Sörredsmotet junction. From our properties in Torslanda that is roughly ten minutes by car, a little more from Björlanda. We tell you exactly which property you are getting before you book.
Does it work for a turnaround with a lot of people at once?
Yes — it is one of the most common reasons companies call us. Tell us how many people and which weeks, and we will come back with how many beds we can hold together and where. The earlier the better: during a large shutdown the whole of western Hisingen is let.
Can you get there without a car?
