Tuve–Säve is in northern Hisingen, and it is the district we suggest when a crew needs space, quiet and a terrace of their own rather than the city centre. About twenty minutes to central Gothenburg by bus, with Hisingsparken beginning where the houses stop.

Tuve is one of the quieter districts on Hisingen and behaves like it. Tuve centrum has shops, places to eat, a health centre, a library and Glöstorpskyrkan, all within walking distance — which matters to a crew getting home late who would rather not get back into the van. The housing is mixed: 1960s lamellhus alongside newer homes and detached houses like ours.

Säve, north of Tuve, is sparser and older. Säve church is here, and what was once the F 9 Säve air force wing, established in 1940. The airfield is still there, but not as it was: today it is a heliport for society-critical aviation, open around the clock all year.

Three operations fly from it — Sjöfartsverket's sea-rescue helicopter, Västra Götalandsregionen's air ambulance and the Swedish police air wing. The airfield is run by Säve Flygplatsdrift AB, and SMA Maintenance AB handles helicopter maintenance on site with around forty staff, also around the clock. For anyone working shifts there, home is a short trip.

The countryside is the district's other argument. Hisingsparken and Hökälla are immediately adjacent, with walking trails and birdwatching, and there is an ice rink and a 4H farm for anyone staying longer than a few weeks. A crew living here has somewhere to go on a free Sunday — which sounds unimportant until you have spent six months in a room beside a through road.

The lines that run from here, and approximate driving time to the larger worksites — measured from the centre of the district, without traffic.
