Corporate apartments in Frölunda Torg–Tofta
The interchange of the south-west — and from 2028 a Frölunda Torg being rebuilt for around three billion.
Frölunda Torg is the centre of south-western Gothenburg: shopping centre, culture house, health centre and one of the city's larger tram and bus interchanges, all in one place. Tofta sits beside it, quieter and more purely residential.
The shopping centre is to be rebuilt in a project of around three billion kronor, starting in spring 2028. That kind of rebuild runs in phases over several years, with contractors on site throughout.
For a crew the strength here is breadth. The tram runs straight into the centre, buses west towards Torslanda and south towards Askim and Kungsbacka, and Västerleden is minutes away for anyone driving. A crew that changes site mid-project does not have to change accommodation.
The housing stock is large-scale sixties, which in practice means roomy three- and four-room flats — what works best when four to six people share. The rent per bed is lower here than in Centrum.
